The weather has been amazingly miserable this Spring in Teton Valley. We had a long winter that finally ended, I think…well it must have because I did have to mow my lawn last week. But it seems like it has been raining everyday and we have had just a couple days where the sun came out for the whole day. I have only been able to get out on one or two mountain bike rides in the lower elevation trails and even then it was fairly muddy. With all the rain we have had recently the trails are just too muddy to do anything.
A friend offered up his road bike, I had never really been on a road bike and you can only run around the neighborhood so many times so I borrowed his road bike to pick up my truck that was in the shop. A road bike would be a great thing this time of year when the trails are the pits. I had a great time pushing the big ring to Victor on the bike path. After years of Mountain Bikes a road bike feels like a toothpick with wings.
But this morning I woke up to a dreary rainy day where even a road ride would be awful. And check this out…
Yeah thats snow on Teton Pass, there is even a chance for valley snow tonight. But the weather is supposed to improve by next Thursday the forecast says….ummm next Thursday thats almost a week away!
Normally by this time of year we are biking, hiking, fishing, etc. In fact my guide season gets started a week from today. Maybe we should pack up and head to Moab right now?

Hang in there jig. You’ll appreciate it when It starts being 110 down here in the valley of heck. It’s been a lingering sprind down here too, but I don’t mind one bit, for dred of the prior.
