Hello, and welcome to “Jigidy’s” Teton Valley Blog. (My nickname is Jigidy, so we get that out of the way.) I started this blog because I noticed myself spending time on various blogs after discovering how great they are. The blog that started it all for me was www.thisisfly.com/blog. A couple of friends of mine started www.thisisfly.com it is a “webzine” dedicated to fly fishing that comes out every month. If you like fly fishing you should check it out.
I have been a fly fishing guide on the South Fork of the Snake for 13 years and really enjoy reading about fly fishing. Since my friends were posting on the thisisfly.com blog I was checking it out daily and posting things on there occasionally as well. Pretty soon I found a couple of other fishing blogs and started reading them as well.
Obviously I have other interests besides fishing and I looked one day for a blog relating to Teton Valley where I live. There is so much going on in Teton Valley, lot of changes in real estate, politics, population, not to mention all the great recreational opportunities. Anyway I didn’t really find a blog on Teton Valley and with all the interest in the valley I thought it would be fun to start a blog….so…Welcome!
The big question after starting a blog is…What to post? Well as a fly fishing guide, real estate agent, skier, mountain biker, and full time resident of Teton Valley I guess anything is fair game. I will just start posting things that I find interesting pertaining to the valley and we will see where it takes us. I hope you enjoy it.

Love your site + Livin in Driggs site! Envy the snow….
Wish we were there….hopefully soon.

Hi Jegidy
I was just out working on a conservation project with the Henry’s Fork Foundation on the Ranch the last 10 days. Fish the South Fork once a year as well. Fishing stared out slow on the Ranch with the weather, but really picked up towards the end of the first week. We did the parking lot camping and also had a room at the Trout Hunter which was fun. You can check out our foundation page with he work we are doing with HFF on the Caldera Project here:http://marineventures.org/blog/
Anyway, nice idea with the blog. I linked yours in our blogroll on our Lateral Line blog would love a link back. Our blog is located at:

I will drop in to check out what is happening.
Thanks
Brandon
